Bonifilio Velazquez, a unauthorized Guatamalan alien illegally living in the U.S. was  arrested for the August 30, 2014 deaths of Diann Jones, Arnette Chandler, and A'Janae Jones.   Since Velazquez's arrest, he has been charged with 3 counts of involuntary manslaughter and drunk driving.

Diann Jones and the other victims were returning home from a family reunion when Velazquez's vehicle hit their vehicle head-on, killing all three victims.  Authorities allege that Velazquez was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

The Guatemalan national reportedly had prior run-ins with local law enforcement, including being guilty of driving without a license three to four times.  Velazquez also  had a prior unspecified immigration violation on his record, although he has been living in the U.S. illegally for 17 years.

Velazquez's attorney has filed a motion to suppress all evidence claiming the defendant was not read his Miranda rights.   A November 10, 2014 hearing has been scheduled because Velazquez was hospitalized after being assaulted by other inmates on September 1.

Wanda Fay Beach, 68

Angel Albeno Mejia, 24

Angel Alberno Mejia, 24, an illegal alien  living in Winchester, KY, was  arrested in the hit and run death of Wanda Fay Beach, 68.  Mrs. Beach  of Somerset, KY,  was killed on June 21, 2014. 

Mrs. Beach  was a passenger in  a Chevrolet Blazer when witnesses allege Meija was speeding and caused the Blazer to go off the road and crash.  The crash impact apparently threw Mrs. Beach out of the vehicle when it overturned several times.

Mrs. Beach was taken to Chandler Hospital but was pronounced dead due to her injuries.  Her husband  was  injured and hospitalized as a result of the crash too.

Instead of offering aid to the crash victims, Mejia  fled the scene of the accident on foot, but was later tracked to a barn by dogs and a helicopter.  [OJJPAC Note:  Fleeing the scene on an accident is routine for the vast majority of illegal aliens.  They will let victims lie dieing in the road.]

Open beer bottles were discovered in Mejia's vehicle and toxicology tests are expected to be conducted.

Mejia has been charged with murder, first-degree wanton endangerment and leaving the scene of an accident and is the Fayette County Detention Center.

Jesus P. Pelico, 20, an illegal alien from Aguacaatan, Guatemala, has been charged in the June 20, 2014 death of Leone Turpin, 28, of Canton, Ohio. 

Pelico, who was living illegally in New Philadelphia, Ohio,  is accused of the hit-and-run crash that killed Turpin.  Police allege that Pelico lost control of the 2003 Dodge Caravan he was driving north on I-77; crossing the I-77 median and crashing into Turpin's southbound truck.  Pelico reportedly fled the accident scene without providing any aid to Turpin.  Turpin died a short time later at a local hospital.

Pelico was arrested and held at the Stark County Jail.  Pelico has been charged  with aggravated vehicular homicide, operationg a vehicle while intoxicated, no driver's license, failure to maintain control of his vehicle, and failing to stop after the accident.

Witnesses to the crime said they saw other people flee from Pelico's truck.  However, police dogs were unable to locate any other suspects.

Illegal alien Raul Silva Corona,  was determined to be responsible for the May, 2014 death of Mesa Arizona Peace Officer Brandon Mendoza, 32.  

Corona was drunk and driving  the wrong-way on an Arizona freeway when he slammed into officer Mendoza's vehicle.  The impact killed Corona and officer Mendoza, a 13-year veteran of the Mesa Police Department.

The Mesa Police Department posthumously promoted Mendosa to the rank of sergeant.

Sergeant Mendoza is survived by his parents, siblings, and nieces and nephews.  He is remembered by those who knew him as a good police officer whom was also a valued friend and community volunteer.

Officer Jose "Andy" Chavez, 26

Igmidio Mista, 33

Igmidio Mista, 33, an  illegal alien from the Philippines, was arrested  for the March 2014 triple-murder of  Elmore Ohio police Officer Jose Andy Chavez, 26, and two other victims.

Mista is alleged to have shot Chavez and the over victims at a Fremont Ohio bar, where Chavez was celebrating his 26th birthday with his wife and  friends.

Mista reportedly had gotten into an altercation with Chavez's wife, which escalated into the shootings.  Mista then left the bar and was later arrested by police without incident at a relative's home.

Officer Chavez is survived by his wife Amber and two  young children.  He was known as a good police officer, devoted husband, father, and good friend.

OJJPAC note:  This is at least the second law enforcement officer killed by an illegal alien in Ohio.

Manuel de Jesus Guinea, 45, an alleged  illegal alien from El Salvador, was  arrested and charged with vehicular homicide and DUI in the death of 3-year-old Zane Thurber.

Police claim that Guinea was driving at a high speed when he crashed his pickup truck into a car driven by Matt Holder, Zane's father.  The crash killed the 3-year-old at the accident scene.  Zane's father and 7-year-old brother survived the crash and were taken to the Intermountain Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.  A witness to the crash held Guinea at the accident scene until police arrived.    

Surprisingly, although Guinea is in the U.S. illegally, he was given a valid driving privileges card by the state of Utah.  (The state of Utah has been allowing illegal aliens driving privileges since 2005.)  Although Utah gave Guinea a special license to drive, Guinea had no auto insurance. Now Zane's family is collecting donations to cover the child's funeral costs and other related expenses.

ICE has placed an immigration hold on Guinea, who  is currently in the Salt Lake County Jail.

Christian Bautista, 31

This entry was edited and updated on February 14, 2016 to reflect Christian Bautista's sentencing.

Christian Bautista, an  illegal alien has been sentenced to life in prison for the vicious stabbing murder of Lauren Bump, 24, on New Year's Eve, 2013, in San Antonio, Texas.  Bautista was also fined $10,000.   Jurors only needed 20 minutes to convict Bautista of murder. 

Prior to murdering Ms. Bump, Bautista had been serving 6 years for aggravated robbery in a Huntsville prison.  However, Bautista was not turned over to ICE for deportation.  In fact, despite being in the U.S. illegally, and arrested several times since 2005, Bautista had not been deported.

Ms. Bump was jogging on a trail in the O.P. Schnabel Park in San Antonio when she was attacked and senselessly murdered by Bautista, who was 29-years-old at the time of the murder.  

Ms. Bump was a graduate student at the Harding University's Physicians' Assistant program.  Friends described her as a happy and loving person.  Bump's family attended Bautista's sentencing and told jurors that Lauren was more than a student, she was a thoughtful person, contributing to society in many ways.  Bump participated on charity runs and served on multiple mission trips.

OJJPAC note:  Due to the Obama administration's failure to deport criminal illegal aliens, another American has been murdered.  The Obama administration's outrageous response is to expend scarce federal resources to sue Arizona and other states attempting to protect their citizens like Lauren Bump.  Our sympathies to the Bump family.

Vanna Nay, 30

Vanna Nay, 30, an illegal alien from South Korea, has been charged in the October 8, 2013 death of Lenny Shay, 37 of Coral Springs, Kentucky. 

Nay is accused of the hit-and-run crash in which police say that Nay's Toyota Camry hit Shay, who was crossing a street.  Nay faces charges of reckless homicide, leaving the scene of an accident and failing to provide aide to Shay, whose body  was left lying on the side of the road.  Witnesses to the crime said Nay ran over Shay's body a second time, while leaving the accident scene.

Nay was eventually identified as Shay's killer after investigators received a tip that Nay was driving a Toyota Camry (which police recovered) and Nay had not returned to his Fairfield Ohio workplace since October 8th.  The Camry was reportedly registered to Kunthy Sok, of Fairfield, Ohio. 

Authorities learned that Nay flew back to South Korea on October 9th to avoid capture and is now a fugitive from justice.  

Nay was scheduled to be deported from the U.S. on October 30, 2013  for reasons unrelated to the death of Mr. Shay.

Mr. Shay is survived by his heart-broken wife Kim and only son Dylan.

[OJJPAC note: More blood on the hands of President Obama and  those members of Congress who continue to trade lives of Americans in order to pander to illegal alien criminals and their ethnocentric special interest groups.   I'd also like to know if the company that hired Nay was ever prosecuted for violating immigration and labor laws.

Abigail Robinson, 11

Alleged illegal alien Cinthya Garcia-Cisneros, 18 and Mario Echeverria, 18, have been arrested in the hit-and-run deaths of two young children.

Sisters Abigail Robinson, 11, and Anna Dieter-Eckert, 6, of Forest Grove, Oregon were killed when Cinthya Garcia-Cisneros allegedly struck the girls with her vehicle while the children were playing in their yard.  Cisneros then drove away from the accident.  6-year-old Anna died at the scene and 11-year-old Abigail died later at a hospital from her injuries.

Forest Grove Police received a tip that led to the recovery of a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder they believed hit the children.  Cisneros and Echeverria were found and arrested the following day.

Cisneros and Echeverria also facing charges of with tampering with evidence and lying to authorities.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed an immigration hold on Cisneros.

Heather M. Coble, 25

Agustin Macias-Marquez, 28, an illegal alien from Mexico pleaded guilty to killing Heather Coble, 25, and Coble's sister-in-law, Madison Perry-Coble, 24, on New Years Eve, 2012.

In addition to the homicide convictions, Marquez was convicted of  DUI, and other charges related to the December 31, 2012 crash in which Marquez failed to stop at an intersection and crashed into the car the victims were riding.  Ms. Coble died at the scene of the accident.  Perry-Coble died later that week due to her head injuries.

Ms. Coble, who lived in Shippensburg, NC, was pregnant at the time of her death.  She is survived by her two young children.

Marquez reportedly had been arrested for DUI in 2011 but was not deported because he was a witness in a different homicide case.

Sergio Martinez-Perez, 19, an illegal alien reportedly working as a roofer in the Omaha area, was originally arrested and charged with first-degree murder, first-degree sexual assault, first-degree assault, and burglary in the death of Louise Sollowin, 93.  It is alleged that on July 21, 2013, Martinez-Perez brutally beat and raped Ms. Sollowin, resulting in her death on July, 24th. 

It was reported that Martinez-Perez had admitted to attacking the senior citizen in her own home, beating and raping her until he passed out on top of her body.  Sollowin's daughter found Martinez-Perez on her mother and contacted police.

Sollowin's son reportedly said that Perez beat his mother so badly that there was blood all over the bedroom and his mother's cheekbones, nose, and teeth had been broken from the violent beating.

Authorities believe that Ms. Sollowin did not know Perez, who is believed to have entered the house via an unlocked door.

A news article stated that Sollowin's son described his mother, who had lived in her house since 1942,  as the "sweetest lady you'd ever want to meet." 

Martinez-Perez  had an interpreter in court because he doesn't speak English.  He remains in jail without bond and Immigration and Customs Enforcement have placed an immigration hold on the defendant.

Mateo Ralios, 23

Mateo Ralios, 23,  a Guatemalan illegal alien has been arrested for causing the June 13, 2013 death of 29-year-old U.S. Army veteran, Chad Nelson of Brunswick, Ohio.

Ralios has been charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and assault, and receiving stolen property--a stolen Ford Fusion.

According to a Plain Dealer new article, Ralios, who has apparently been working illegally at an Akron restaurant, was driving the stolen Ford Fusion when he veered left of center and crashed into Eric Kaskervic's Chrysler, in which Nelson was a passenger.  Nelson was injured in the crash and  transported to Akron General Medical Center but later died of his injuries.  Kaskervic was also hospitalized for his injuries and was eventually released.  

Chad Nelson was born on Sept. 30, 1983. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving tours of duty in both Iraq and Afghanistan.  Before his death, he was a truck driver for Fenix Fabrication.   He is survived by his wife, parents, other family members, and friends who remember Chad for his good sense of humor and warm heart.

OJJPAC note:  Another tragic and unnecessary end to an American citizen's life because the president and his staff refuse to allow law enforcement to do their jobs--enforce U.S. immigration laws.  Why is it that Veterans can return from war, only to be killed by illegal foreign nationals in their own communities?  Our condolences to the friends and family of Chad Nelson who also must now suffer a lifetime for  the consequences brought about by destructive progressive radicals running the federal government.

Jose Luis Aguilar

Jose Luis Aguilar, 36, a suspected  illegal alien, has been arrested and charged with first-degree manslaughter in the brutal death of  9-month-old Serenity Reedy of Richland, WA.

Aguilar reportedly sexually assaulted and beat Serenity Reedy to death on June 7, 2013.  (Aguilar apparently had access to the child because he reportedly was the boyfriend of  baby Reedy's mother, Jennifer Reedy, 31, who found her daughter unresponsive in her crib that Friday.)

Aguilar became a suspect after he was missing along with Jennifer Reedy's money and vehicle.   Investigators quickly traced and apprehended Aguilar at a Greyhound bus station.  Authorities believe Aguilar was attempting to escape to Mexico.

An autopsy of Baby Reedy indicated the infant was sexually assaulted as well as having multiple skull fractures, indicating the child was viciously beaten to death.

Aguilar is currently being held without bail.

Dwayne Polk, 47

Andres Munos-Munos, 23, an illegal alien from Mexico living in Huston, Texas, was arrested and faces intoxication and manslaughter charges in the death of 47-year-old Harris County Sheriff Sgt. Dwayne Polk, 47. 

Polk, a 16 year department veteran, was killed when Munos allegedly driving drunk,  drove through an intersection and crashed into Polk's vehicle. Polk was on his way home from an off-duty job was killed. 

Munos reportedly had been convicted in 2012 of drunk driving and a gun violation.  Munos was deported in July 2012 but obviously illegally returned to the U.S.

Polk's mother described him as a good father involved in church and his 10-year-old son's school.

Alfonso Diaz-Diaz

Alfonso Diaz-Diaz,  a suspected  illegal alien has been charged with DUI, assault, and manslaughter, in the death of 5-year-old Blake Cohorn of Lexington, Kentucky.

Police reportedly allege that Diaz was driving unlicensed and drunk and drove the wrong way on  U.S. Route 60.  Diaz's vehicle struck the Cohorn's vehicle head-on, killing Blake Cohorn and seriously injuring the child's father.

Diaz's bail was set at $250,000.   The preliminary hearing is set for May 6, 2013.

OJJPAC note:   If Diaz was kept out of the U.S., this little boy would still be alive.  The people you elect has consequences.  The truth is that the Obama administration has prevented the U.S. Border Patrol and Immigration & Customs Enforcement from doing their jobs properly.  This is not opinion but fact.  The Obama administration's  policy has been to undermine immigration enforcement actions and work to pass a general amnesty for millions of illegal aliens now in the U.S.

Jose Jesus Garcia Salmoran, 31, an  illegal alien from Mexico, was sentenced to 1 year of jail for the death of 20-year-old Jasmine Yvonne Owens of Upper Marlboro, MD.  According to County Circuit Judge Wiliam C. Mulford II, that was the maximum sentence he could order by law.

Salmoran had been arrested for causing the July 23rd death of Owens, who was struck and killed by Salmoran after she exited her own car after she struck a guardrail minutes earlier.   Salmoran was arrested  for drunk driving after blowing a 0.13 blood-alcohol level. His passenger said they had been drinking at a night club and were on the way home.

This wasn't Salmoran's  first run-in with police.  It was reported that Salmoran many prior traffic convictions including one for alcohol, but was never deported.   Apparently Salmoran even got a speeding ticket months after killing Owens and had been in the U.S. illegally for about 13 years.

Ownens was buried July 29, 2011.

 Ramon Hernandez, a suspected illegal alien from Honduras, was arrested for causing the June 11, 2012 vehicle accident near Las Vegas, NM, that resulted in the death of infant Dimitri Smith.  Authorities allege that Hernandez was driving drunk.

Infant Dimitri lived just one minute after a C-Section was performed on the mother in order to save the child's life.

This wasn't Hernandez's  first run-in with police.  It was reported that Hernandez has multiple prior convictions for DWI and a violation for having an open container.

ICE officials have not responded to press inquiries how an alien with so many prior convictions was not deported and was able to remain in the U.S.

Roberto Galo, 52

Update: Roberto Galo, a Honduran alien living illegally in the U.S., was finally taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in January, 2013.  Galo had been previously convicted in the November 2010 vehicular death of Drew Rosenberg of San Francisco.  According to Don Rosenberg, Drew's father, Gallo's punishment was a 6-month jail sentence in which Galo actually only had to serve 43 days behind bars.  Galo was freed and released back into the community by September, 2012.  If not for the Rosenberg's family's activism and insistence that Galo be taken into custody by ICE in 2013, Galo might have remained free and continued to be a threat to public safety.

Galo, an unlicensed driver,  illegally crossed into the path of Rosenberg's  motorcycle causing a crash.  Galo  then drove back and forth over Drew Rosenber's body 3 times.  Rosenberg was taken to the hospital but died from his injuries.

Months earlier, Galo had been previously cited and had his car impounded for driving unlicensed and driving the wrong way down a one-way street.

Although Galo was in the U.S. illegally, the federal government  granted Galo Temporary Protected Status (TPS) in 2000  prior to Rosenberg's death due to conditions in his native Honduras. 

But after Rosenberg's death, Galo no longer qualified for TPS protection.

However, under the Obama administration's prosecutorial discretion policies, vehicular manslaughter and driving without a license, are not considered  serious enough offenses to begin deportation proceedings.

Update: Luis Rodriguez,  a fugitive and suspected illegal alien is sought by law enforcement in the death of Joe Storie of Lenoir, NC.

Storie was killed October 5, 2011 when  Rodriguez allegedly drove drunk thru a blinking red light and hit Storie's vehicle.  Storie's wife and sister were seriously injured in the crash and flown to Norfolk.  The family had been visiting the outer Banks of N.C.

Rodriguez was taken to the hospital for his injuries but was able to flee the hospital without being noticed by officers. 

Warrants  for Rodriguez were issued for felony death by vehicle and other violations.   Rodriguez was later captured in Raleigh and returned to Dare County, NC.  It was reported that police believe Rodriquez was preparing to flee to Honduras.

However, although the prosecutor argued that Rodriguez was a flight risk, the judge reduced Rodriguez's bail and Rodriguez fled and remains a fugitive from justice.

Julio Miguel Blanco-Garcia, an  illegal alien from Guatemala living in Falls Church VA, has been arrested for the brutal June 27, 2010 stabbing murder of 19-year-old Vanessa Pham.   Pham's body was found in her car in Falls Church, VA.

A recent DNA match  identified Blanco-Garcia as the alleged perpetrator.  Authorities captured Blanco-Garcia  while he was illegally working at a Vienna, VA residential construction site last week.

Blanco-Garcia reportedly was previously arrested in April, 2012 for altering retail store price tags while shopping.  

A preliminary hearing for the murder case  has been set for February 13, 2013.

Ms. Pham was a student at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia.

Horne was killed December 2, 2012 after his coast guard boat was rammed by a suspected drug smuggling boat off the coast of California near Los Angeles.

The collision resulted in Horne receiving a traumatic head injury, which he died from soon afterward.  

Chief Petty Officer Horne is survived by his wife Rachel, sons, Kade and Miller, and a yet unborn child due in July, 2013.

Veronica Avila Diaz, 28,  a suspected  illegal alien from Mexico has pleaded guilty to criminal negligent homicide in the September 30, 2012 death of Kenneth Douglas Carroll, 72, of Eugene, Oregon.  Due to a plea agreement, a number of other charges against Diaz were dropped.

Diaz and her husband Jose Antonio Cejas Gutierrez, 31, faced numerous charges after Diaz, an unlicensed driver, was driving recklessly, crossed the center-line and crashed head-on into Carroll, who was riding his new  motorcycle.

Gutierrez pleaded guilty to a felony charge of hindering prosecution and four counts of reckless endangerment.   It is believed that Gutierrez is also in the U.S. illegally.

Diaz and Gutierrez were sentenced to three years probation.  The defendants however remain in custody due to an apparent immigration hold.  It is believed they have been in the U.S. for about nine years.

OJJPAC note:   Three years probation is hardly enough punishment for these apparent illegal aliens who have a history of ignoring U.S. laws and whose reckless acts took the life of  an innocent U.S. citizen.  If they are immediately deported, they will likely illegally re-enter the U.S. since the Obama administration's failure to take U.S. border enforcement seriously, preferring to undermine immigration enforcement actions and work to pass a general amnesty for millions of illegal aliens now in the U.S.

Case update (11-6-12):  Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Ronald Rose accepted the jury's May, 2012  death sentence recommendation for Pedro Espinoza, the 23-year-old gangster who senselessly murdered Jamiel Shaw in 2008.  

5-22-12 Conviction Update:  Illegal alien gang member Pedro Espinosa, 23  has been convicted of first-degree murder on May 9, 2012.   Espinosa  had been arrested for the murder of Jamiel Shaw, 17, who was killed in an unprovoked March 2, 2008 attack.  Shaw was brutally murdered three houses down  from his family home in Los Angeles.

According to the LAPD and District Attorney,  19-year-old Pedro Espinosa, has a long juvenile criminal record and is a member of of the 18th Street Gang.  He is also a Mexican national in the U.S. illegally.

Shockingly, Espinosa was released from jail for assault with a deadly weapon March 1, 2008, one day prior to the  murder of Jaimel Shaw.

Why was Espinosa given probation?  Why was Espinosa not turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for deportation prior to committing any crimes in the U.S.?

The Shaw family now wants the City of Los Angeles to repeal Special Order 40 which prohibited police from inquiring about Espinosa's immigration status--and prevented his deportation back to Mexico.   The repeal effort is called "Jamiel's Law" and more information is available at http://www.jamielslaw.com.

Anita Shaw, Jamiel's mother, wants her son to be remembered as a hero and Christian-- a good example for young people to follow.  Rumors that Shaw was a gang member seem unfair--and many supporters of the Special Order 40 repeal campaign  believe the rumors are part of a smear campaign to stop  repeal efforts.  The fact is that Shaw was the victim and he had NO POLICE RECORD and even the police say Shaw was NOT known to hang-out with local gangs.

Roberto Salamanca, 20,  an illegal alien  living in Flagstaff, Arizona, was found guilty of manslaughter in the August, 2011 hit-and-run death of 20-year-old Kyle Wible, also of Flagstaff.

Wible's vehicle was crushed  when Salamanca  lost control of his speeding car, hitting Wible head-on.

Instead of offering aid to Wible, Salamanca fled the scene of the accident.  [OJJPAC Note:  Fleeing the scene on an accident is routine for the vast majority of illegal aliens.  They usually let victims die in the road.]

It was later determined that Salamanca  had been drinking and driving and in addition to the manslaughter verdict, he was also found guilty of DUI, fleeing, criminal damaging, driving without a license, and underage drinking.

Although Salamanca has been in the U.S. illegally, he was never turned over the federal authorities for deportation, even after being cited numerous times since the age of 15 for driving without a license, and other infractions.

Salamanca's sentencing is set for September 20,2012.  U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has placed an immigration hold on Salamanca, indicating that he will likely be deported after he serves his prison sentence.

OJJPAC Note: While Salamanca will eventually be set free, Kyle Wible's family will continue to pay the ultimate cost  because the Obama administration  has failed to adequately enforce if not ignore existing immigration laws that were put in place to protect Americans like Kyle Wible. The Obama administration now waits until a death occurs before they take action.

Isn't it time that the federal government protect American citizens rather than those who violate our laws and put our citizens' safety at risk?

Timoteo Gabriel DeJesus,  has been charged in the January 22, 2012 death of 16-year-old Brandon Michael Sullivan of Plant City, Florida.

DeJesus was arrested in the hit-and-run death of  Sullivan who was walking with a friend to a local convenient store.  DeJesus reportedly hit the teens while driving a 1995 Lincoln Town Car and then fled the scene of the accident.   Sullivan died at the accident scene and his friend was hospitalized with at least one broken bone.

Police eventually located the Lincoln Town Car and found DeJesus hiding at the pallet company where he worked.

DeJesus reportedly had been arrested several times before and had an active warrant for his arrest at the time of this horrific accident.

The follow is from Brandon's obituary so you can understand how many people are affected by each tragedy resulting from illegal aliens being allowed to remain in the U.S.:

OJJPAC note:   It could be that despite DeJusus' many run in with law enforcement, this may be the only time there has been an immigration detainer requested or granted. It seems that someone has to die before the Obama administration allows ICE agents to do their job without interference.

Despite news reports point out that Tzun has a history of prior arrests, including a conviction for DUI, a pending DUI case, and a 2009 grand theft arrest, Tzun was allowed out of detention on bail.

The California Highway Patrol according to the Riverside Press-Enterprise refused to investigate Tzun's immigration status.

However, a news report stated that the Department of Homeland Security's Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency has placed an immigration  hold on  Tzun.

Carlos Viveros-Colorado, 51

Carlos Viveros-Colorado, 51,  an  illegal alien from Mexico, was  arrested and charged with criminal vehicular homicide for causing  a July 5, 2012 fatal accident in St. Paul, Minnesota. 

Viveros-Colorado is accused of  striking and killing 16-year-old pedestrian Clarisse Grime.  Authorities say that Viveros-Colorado was driving his SUV home from work when he lost control of the vehicle and hit Ms. Grime who was waiting for a bus with her boyfriend.

Viveros-Colorado had several previous run-ins with law enforcement, including a 2001 conviction for DWI, which resulted in his deportation.

However, Viveros-Colorado illegally returned to the U.S. two years later.  Within the last year, Viveros-Colorado had been cited  for driving without a license and speeding in July, 2011; for driving without a license  in March, 2012; and driving without a license and speeding again in April, 2012.  Viveros-Colorado was never asked about his immigration status or turned over to ICE, even though he was previously deported for DWI and reentered the U.S illegally for a second time--a  felony.

St. Paul's City Attorney Sara Grewing said St. Paul police didn't  notify ICE about Viveros-Colorado due to the city's 2004 ordinance that prohibits city employees from asking about a person's immigration status [also known as an illegal alien sanctuary policy].

OJJPAC note:  This incident is a case study of why cities that create sanctuaries for illegal aliens should be liable for severe civil and criminal penalties, and  lose all federal funding until their sanctuary policies are repealed. Furthermore, while the Obama  Dept. of Justice actively sues cities and states that attempt to protect their citizens from illegal alien criminals, the DOJ ignores cities that pass illegal sanctuary ordinances.

The suspect's  former roommate, Marvin LeJarza, told authorities that he believed the suspect may have gone back to Guatemala.  LeJarza  told authorities that  he believed his ex-roommate had earned a living as a groundskeeper for people with Hampton estates.  

OJJPAC note:  It's unfortunate that people who can easily afford to hire well qualified Americans to maintain their estates instead hire illegal aliens.

Auricelli Braga, a reported illegal alien from Brazil living in Stoughton, has been charged in the June 24, 2012 death of 64-year-old Sara Escudero, also of Stoughton.

The charges against Braga include with motor-vehicle homicide, driving without a license, and negligent motor vehicle operation.

Ms. Escudero, originally from Chile, became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2004.  Escudero, a nurse,  was on her way to work when she was killed that early Sunday morning..  Braga survived the crash and was hospitalized after the accident.

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesperson said that Braga legally entered the U.S. on a tourist visa in 2001 but didn't return to Brazil when her visa expired in 2002. 

OJJPAC note:  How terribly ironic that an apparently productive naturalized U.S. citizen was "allegedly" killed by someone ICE says was in the U.S. illegally for over 10 years.  Another example of the public safety importance of aggressive immigration law enforcement.

Alfonso Valdez-Olea, an illegal alien from Mexico, was identified by authorities as the person responsible for the May 28, 2012 death of 17-year-old Olivia Monet Wilson of Mesa, Arizona.  Police believe Valdez-Olea was intoxicated when he drove the wrong way on Interstate 17 and crashed head-on into Wilson's car, killing the high school student and injuring her teenage passenger.  Valdez-Olea also died as a result of the crash.

Valdez-Olea reportedly has had past encounters with U.S. law enforcement.  He apparently has entered the U.S. illegally more than once and had been ordered deported.  However, Valdez-Olea apparently remained free in Arizona.

Miss. Wilson enjoyed singing and was a well-liked student and athlete at Desert Ridge High School.  Her school volleyball team  held a candlelight vigil in her memory.

OJJPAC Note:  The failure of the Obama administration to aggressively enforce U.S. immigration law is exactly why Miss. Wilson is now dead and why the State of Arizona passed its own law cracking down on illegal aliens.   The Obama administration's purposeful and planned failure to enforce immigration law is resulting in the unnecessary deaths and injuries of thousands of Americans.  Adding insult to injury, the Obama Dept. of Justice is filing lawsuits against states that attempt to enforce U.S. immigration laws in order to protect their citizens.

Jose Lopez, an illegal alien  living in California was  arrested and convicted of felony hit and run in the death of nine-year-old Ryan Jeffrey Scholz.  Ryan was killed on January 9, 1988, just a few weeks before his 10th birthday. 

Ryan was a passenger on  his father motorcycle when Lopez's vehicle crossed over the double yellow lines and hit the Scholz's motorcycle.  The crash impact threw Ryan off the motorcycle, into the car windshield, and then his body  fell onto the ground.  Ryan's neck was broken and he later died from his injuries. Ryan's father was seriously injured too and lost a leg as a result of the crash.

Instead of offering aid to the crash victims, Lopez fled the scene of the accident on foot, walking home.  [OJJPAC Note:  Fleeing the scene on an accident is routine for the vast majority of illegal aliens.  They will let victims lie dieing in the road.]

It was later discovered that Lopez had been drinking and driving.

Lopez's punishment for killing a 9-year-old boy and maiming his father was just  6 months in jail.   Ryan's mother was so distraught over her son's death and Lopez's light sentence, that she took her own life on the day of Lopez's sentencing.

The Scholz, Buchanan, and Urban families continue to pay the ultimate cost of the loss of two of their family members because the federal government has failed to adequately enforce existing immigration laws.

A family member described Ryan as a good boy who was smart, well-liked, and loved to play baseball.  After his death, his baseball jersey and number was retired by his major little league team.

It is unknown if Lopez was deported after he completed his sentence.

Ryan's story  demonstrates that the problem of inadequate immigration law enforcement has existed for at least 20 years, and sentences of less than 1 year have also been going on (at least in some cases) for over 20 years.  This case also shows the serious lifelong impact these  preventable crimes have on the families of American victims.

Isn't it time that the federal government protect American citizens rather than those who violate our laws and put our citizens' safety at risk?

Abel Hernandez, 28, an illegal alien reportedly living in Lakewood, New Jersey, has been arrested and charged  in the December 17, 2011 death of Jean McCarthy, 71.

Hernandez was allegedly intoxicated when he hit head-on the vehicle driven by Ms. McCarthy's husband.  The deceased was a passenger in the vehicle. Mr. McCarthy was also seriously injured and required hospitalization.

Hernandez has been charged with a number of crimes associated with the crash, including driving unlicensed, death by auto, hit and run, and DUI.  Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed a detainer on Hernandez.

Ramos is accused of  striking and killing 22-year-old pedestrian Alexander Atkin while Ramos was driving home from work.  Ramos allegedly fled the scene of the accident, leaving Atkin to die in the street. 

Atkin's body was later discovered and authorities were alerted.  After TV news reports of the hit-and-run fatality were aired, Ramos' family convinced Ramos to turn himself in.  Ramos has since confessed to hitting Atkin and is now in jail, charged with a third-degree felony.

Alexander is survived by his parents, brother, and other relatives and good friends. He enjoyed sports and followed the Eagles, Jazz, and Rockies sports teams.  A vigil  for Alexander was held by family friends and well-wishers at the accident scene.

Raul Benitez Maranon, 27

Raul Benitez Maranon, 27, a Mexican illegal alien illegally living in Ohio, was convicted and sentenced November 30, 2011 to life in prison for the vicious murder of Jerry Laury, 61 of Canton.

On August 14, 2011, Maranon requested a cab ride from Laury, a cab driver for the Yellow Cab Company.   After Laury drove Maranon to the requested New Franklin address, Maranon returned to the waiting cab with a gun and not with payment for the cab ride.

Maranon admitted shooting Laury multiple times, with Maranon's girlfriend claiming Maranon was upset because he believed that Laury somehow disrespected him.    Maranon also bashed Laury's head with the gun after shooting him.

Members of Laury's family and friends attended the sentencing of Maranon and took the opportunity to tell the court how Laury's death affected them.  A Spanish interpreter translated the proceedings for  Maranon, who doesn't speak English.

Luis A. Rodriquez-Flamenco, 24, an alleged illegal alien from Honduras has been arrested and charged with the brutal October 30, 2011 murder of  Kathleen Byham, 45, of Albion.

Byham reportedly had been shopping alone at an Albion  WalMart  and was attacked after exiting the store and returning to her vehicle in the WalMart parking lot.

Flamenco allegedly began to repeatedly stab Byham,  apparently as two acquaintances of Flamenco (reportedly also in the U.S. illegally) watched.

The attack was witnessed by other WalMart customers who gave authorities descriptions of the suspects who were later located in homes  in the Village of Albion.

Byham was taken to Median Memorial Hospital but was shortly thereafter  pronounced dead.

Flamenco is currently in jail and is being held without bail.  Flamenco's associates were not charged but turned over to the U.S. Border Patrol.

Cristino Torres-Romero,  an  alleged illegal alien, has been arrested in the September 11, 2011 death of Daniel Pollack, 31.  Torres-Romero is accused of the hit-and-run crash in which police say that Torres-Romero's F150 truck hit Pollack who was crossing a street.  Torres-Romero is also accused of leaving the scene of the accident and leaving  Pollack to die.  

Police tracked Torres-Romero down after later receiving a tip about Torres-Romero's place of work, false identity, and home in Tempe, Arizona.  That information led to the suspect's arrest and confession.

Torres-Romero is now in jail without bail.

Alejandro Pardo, 28, a Mexican national, has been arrested  for causing an auto accident on September 1, 2011 that resulted in the death of Modena Dollison, 43, of Waxahachie.  Pardo has reportedly been charged with manslaughter.

Pardo is accused of being an unlicensed driver and turning his truck into the path of  Dollison's motorcycle, throwing her off her bike and onto the roadway.  Dollison  was life-flighted to a Dallas hospital where she was pronounced dead.

From Ms. Dollison's obituary:

"Modena Lynn Dollison was born on December 2, 1967 in Findlay, Ohio to Larry and Ardella Swank. Modena was a loving person; she loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed working in her yard and riding her motorcycle. Employed by the Grand Prairie Police Department as a Detention Officer on June 3, 2002. She was a valued employee whom everyone loved and enjoyed working with. She would greet you every morning with a smile and a positive attitude. Modena had a heart of gold; she was the good in everyone and would do anything for you. Modena will be miss by everyone."

Edy Porfirio Reynoso-Ramirez, 32, an  illegal alien apparently living in Portland Oregon, was arrested  August 29, 2011 for the injury and subsequent death of John Zupan, 66 on August 30th.

Ramirez is accused of crashing his vehicle into Zupan's motorcycle and then fleeing the scene of the accident.   Zupan was hospitalized but died from his injuries the next day.

Authorities believe Ramirez was speeding and driving erratically crossing into Zupan's lane and causing a collision with Zupan's BMW motorcycle.  Ramirez attempted to hide from police but was captured.

Ramirez reportedly been charged with DUI, reckless driving, hit-and-run, and assault.  Because  Zupan died from his injuries, Ramirez  likely will be charged with Zupan's death too.

Despite  Ramirez's previous encounters with the law going back to 2003, local law enforcement apparently never notified the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).  According to one police official, that was possible because of Portland's sanctuary policy that prohibits its employees from inquiring about a person's immigration status.

Ramirez's alleged illegal alien status only became known after ICE randomly checked the Multnomah County Jail's inmate list against its database.  ICE then placed an immigration hold on Ramirez without the help of Portland's PD.

Roberto A. Salamanca, 19, an alleged illegal apparently living in Flagstaff Arizona, was arrested in the August 19th death of Kyle Wible, 20.

Salamanca is accused of several crimes including DUI, hit-and-run, and driving without a license.  Police reportedly believe Salamanca was driving at a high rate of speed, lost control of his SUV, crossed several lanes of traffic and crashed head-on into Wible's Nissan Sentra.  Like most illegal aliens, Salamanca left Wible to die and attempted to escape by feeing  on foot but was soon after apprehended by police.

Wible was transported to a Flagstaff hospital where he died from his injuries.

Despite numerous driving citations, Salamanca's alleged illegal status evidently never prompted law enforcement's interest in removing him from the U.S.  Now that Wible is dead, the Department of Homeland Security's Immigration and Customs Enforcement Bureau has placed an immigration hold on Salamanca.

Marcos Lopez Garcia, 22, a reported illegal alien  was  arrested and charged with felony hit-and-run, vehicular manslaughter and driving unlicensed in the death of 4-year-old Christopher Rowe of Santa Rosa, California.

Garcia  is accused of driving drunk and running the 4-year-old boy over  in a crosswalk.  After striking the child, Garcia allegedly left the victim to die, and fled the scene of the accident (typical of cowardly and heartless illegal aliens).   The boy later died of his injuries at Children's Hospital.

It was also reported that Garcia had two other arrests for driving unlicensed.  Garcia was apparently also working in the U.S. illegally at a Santa Rosa pizza shop. 

OJJPAC Note:  Unfortunately it has taken Christopher Rowe's death before local law enforcement and Immigration and Customs Enforcement  took the time to place an immigration hold on Garcia.  The Obama administration's purposeful and planned failure to enforce immigration law is resulting in the unnecessary deaths and injuries of thousands of people.

Case update: Ecuadorean national Nicholas Dutan Guaman who was illegally living in the United States was found guilty in May, 2014 for the August 20, 2011 vehicular dragging death of Matthew Denice of Milford.  Duaman was sentenced  to 12 to 14 years in prison by Judge David Ricciardone.  Guaman was also convicted  of driving without a license, failing to stop leaving the scene of an accident and reckless endangerment of a child.  After Guaman hit Denice's motorcycle, he continued driving 1/4 mile while Denice's body was trapped within Guaman's Truck's wheel-well.

Original entry: Nicholas D. Guaman, 34, an illegal alien from Ecuador living in Milford, MA was  arrested and charged with negligent vehicular homicide and second degree murder of  23-year-old Matthew J. Denice. 

Police allege that Guaman was intoxicated and unlicensed when he  failed to stop at a stop sign.  Guaman reportedly ran the stop sign in his brother's 2004 Ford Pickup hitting Matthew Denice's  motorcycle.

Guaman allegedly dragged Denice for over a quarter mile, then after Denice was thrown  from beneath Guaman's truck, Guaman backed over his body and then left the scene of the accident (like most cowardly and uncaring illegal aliens). 

After police stopped Gauman, his 6-year-old son  exited the truck and attacked police.

Since 2007, Gauman has reportedly been arrested three times for driving without a license, assault and battery on a police officer, and an assault on a fireman. 

Guaman is currently being held on a $100,000 bond and has a court appointed lawyer.  The Department of Homeland Security's Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency has placed an immigration hold on Guaman in case he attempts to post bond. 

More about Matthew

Matthew was responsible and funny young man. Before Matthew was killed, he had just recently graduated college and was working as an IT consultant.  He had a longtime girlfriend and many friends.  Since Matthew was murdered by a drunk driver,  it's ironic that Matthew  had made a pact not to drink alcohol until he was 21, and on many occasions gave friends who did drink rides home to ensure their safety as well as the safety of others.  Not  surprisingly, he was voted "most dependable" at his high school.  His family and friends miss his presence.  Their world changed forever on that tragic day.

The mother and daughter died after Solano-Gallardo allegedly was drunk and driving his Mountaineer SUV in the wrong direction on Interstate-435 for a number of miles before crashing head-on into Bronson's Chevrolet Impala.  The Bronson's are believed to have died instantly due to the severe injuries caused by the  speed of the vehicles. 

Ms. Bronson and her daughter were on their way to visit relatives and attend a 4th of July parade according to family.

When Solano-Gallardo was arrested he was carrying multiple Mexican ID's with a name which was different from the one he told police.  Authorities continue to try to confirm his identity.

Jhony Velasquez Castillo, a/k/a Jhony C. Velasquez, 34,  an  illegal alien apparently living in Georgia,  has been arrested and charged with vehicular homicide and driving without a valid license in the death of  Buford, Georgia teenager Jonathan Campbell, 15.

Police believe that Velasquez-Castillo was speeding excessively last March when his vehicle slammed into the side of the vehicle in which Campbell was a passenger (Campbell's sister was the driver).  Campbell's car reportedly then crashed into stopped traffic.

The victim was a student at Lanier High School.

Johoan Rodriguez, a suspected illegal alien has been arrested and charged with intoxicated manslaughter, cocaine possession, and resisting arrest,  in the death of Huston police officer Kevin Will.  Rodriguez allegedly was driving drunk when he drove his vehicle into a police barricade, striking and killing officer Will who was investigating a non-related hit-and-run call.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed an immigration hold on Rodriquez.

Carlos Sanchez-Ramos, 33,  an  ilegal alien from Honduras has been arrested and charged with a number of crimes as a result of  a fatal accident he allegedly caused in Fairfax County, VA.

Police allege that Sanchez-Ramos was driving drunk and ran into Krause's vehicle, which  pushed Krause's car into oncoming traffic--which resulted in his death.

Sanchez-Ramos  reportedly was deported once before and returned to the U.S..--and was arrested and convicted of driving drunk in 2007 but law enforcement and prosecutors never called Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to check his immigration status.  Prosecutors also reduced charges so Sanchez-Ramos avoided jail time in that case according to a news report.  The implementation of the "Secure Communities" program in Fairfax County resulted in Sanchez-Ramos fingerprints being checked by ICE.

Krause is survived by his wife and three daughters.

Delvin Joel Marin-Contreras, 29,  a suspected illegal alien reportedly living in Charlotte, was arrested by Mecklenburg police in the vehicular accident death of William Alan Sweezer, 53, of Fort Mill, S.C..

Police allege that Marin-Contreras struck Sweezer, and others, including two police officers on I-277 while police were responding to another accident along the roadway.

It was reported that Marin-Contreras had been charged previously in 2008 and 2010 with driving without a license.

Sweezer, treasurer of S.C. Swimming,  was driving with his wife and two teenage sons to a swim meet in Mecklenburg.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement is currently reviewing Marin-Contreras' immigration status.

Brayan Rivera, 22,  a suspected illegal alien  is being sought by police in the vehicular manslaughter death of Joshua Keith of Norcross, GA.   Police allege that Rivera was driving drunk and struck Keith's vehicle, injuring Keith's girlfriend and causing injuries to Keith that ultimately became fatal.

Rivera was injured in the crash too, and was taken to the Gwinnett Medical Center.  However, Rivera left the hospital since he was not guarded or secured by local law enforcement.

Legarda Quezada, 38, a suspected  illegal alien, has been arrested and charged with manslaughter and intoxication manslaughter, in the vehicular death of 9-month-old Jacob Tucker, and his mother, Alyssa Holtzclaw, 30.   Queza's bond has been set at $1.25 million.

Baby Tucker was a passenger in his mother's car when Quezada's vehicle allegedly crossed into Holitzclaw's lane last January 16th, causing the two fatalities.  Quezada reportedly left the scene of the accident but was apprehended  later that afternoon.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed a hold on Quezada.

Holtzclaw's vehicle was allegedly hit when Quezada's vehicle crossed into Holitzclaw's lane last January 16th, causing the fatal accident.  Quezada reportedly left the scene of the accident but was apprehended  later that afternoon.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed a hold on Quezada.

Marco Rosendo Flores-Fuentes, 48, a  Mexican  illegal alien has been convicted and sentenced to 31 months in prison for illegally re-entering the U.S.  including three years of supervised release. 

Flores-Fuentes has had several run-ins with the law.  He was deported in 1994 after spending over two years in jail for importing and distributing marijuana.

 Flores-Fuentes illegally returned to the U.S. and was working as a garbage truck driver for a Virginia company called KMG  Hauling, Inc..  In 2008 he was involved in an accident in which bicyclist Alice Swanson, 24, was killed on a  Washington, D.C. street.  Flores-Fuentes was not charged  in the death of  Swanson.*

 In July, 2010, Flores-Fuentes was arrested  once it was determined that he was in the U.S. illegally.

Three other Mexicans involved in the firefight previously pleaded guilty and  received sentences of 8, 27 and 30 years in prison.

Update:  Members of Congress are now investigating weather the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) supplied Mexican gun runners the assault rifles that were involved in the gun battle that ended in Terry's murder. 

The U.S. Department of Justice and the ATF had initiated a sting called "Operation Gun Runner" in which the ATF allowed the smuggling of weapons from the U.S. to Mexico, supposedly to trace the weapons to key  ringleaders.

Castillo  had been previously deported to Mexico but once again illegally entered the U.S. and had been living here since 2002.  Castillo  had prior convictions for drunk driving too and was on probation when he killed Miller.

2016 Case Update:     Illegal alien Hermilo Moralez, now 24, was convicted in January, 2013, of the brutal murder of Joshua Wilkerson, 18, of Pearland, TX.  Moralez beat, strangled, and tortured  Joshua Wilkerson on November 16, 2010 until he died. After the young man didn't return home from school, police were notified. A search team found his burned  body  in a field the following day.

Moralez was sentenced to life in prison. Moralez's family are Belize nationals who entered the U.S. illegally on or about 2001, when Moralez was 10-years-old.     

Original entry:  Hermilo Moralez, 19, a suspected illegal alien from Belize, has been arrested for the brutal murder of Joshua Wilkerson, 18, of Pearland, TX. 

Police say Moralez has confessed to murdering Wilkerson, who reported was a friend of Moralez and gave Moralez a ride home.   Police also stated that they believe Wilkerson was first murdered, then  bound and moved to a field where his body was set on fire.

Neida Ortega, 34, a reportedly self-admitted illegal alien, was arrested at her home in Sumter, S.C.,  for causing the death of firefighter Chance Zobel, 23.

Law enforcement officials allege that Ortega was driving without a valid license and speeding when her van filled with passengers rear-ended another vehicle which then lost control and killed Zobel and critically injured another fireman who were putting out a brushfire along Interstate 20.

Ortega, who doesn't speak English, allegedly told authorities via her husband that she has been living illegally in the U.S. for 10 years.

Ortega reportedly will be released and allowed to return to her home in Sumter pending deportation proceedings.

OJJPAC note:  How can they let this illegal alien out of jail (no ICE detainers?) after she caused a serious accident that cost one of our citizens his life and another possibly permanent injuries?   And what about all her passengers...some if not all were likely in the U.S. illegally too?   Outrageous!

Feliciano Aquas Suarez, 39, ( reportedly an admitted  illegal alien from Mexico)  has been arrested in the death of Casey Ryan Bohr, 23, of King Williams County, Virginia.

The sheriff's office alleges that Suarez was driving drunk when his vehicle crossed into Borhr's lane, hitting  Bohr's car and causing  his vehicle to crash.  Bohr died at the scene and his passenger was also injured.

Suarez is charged with driving under the influence, driving without a license, and manslaughter.

Jesus Gonzalez Morales, a reported 27-year-old  illegal alien living in Candor, NC,  has been charged with a number of felonies after he allegedly drove his vehicle off a street and  into four teenagers walking  along the roadside grass--killing 18-year-old Brittany Blakely.

Morales, who police say has a long criminal history, is alleged to have been driving intoxicated in a stolen Ford Explorer Saturday evening when he hit the teens--and like many cowardly illegal aliens, he then  fled  the scene of the accident rather than attempt to aid the victims of the alleged crime.  Morales was later arrested at his apartment.

It was also reported that Morales has been charged 14 times previously  for various crimes since 2004, including drunk driving  assault, and others.  However, at this point it appears that Morales was never turned over to ICE by North Carolina law enforcement, prosecutors, or judges. 

OJJPAC note:  The obvious question is: Why was Morales never deported 14 crimes ago? How was he supporting himself? --Working illegally?  How did he get a drivers license (and even that was evidently suspended for some reason before this incident)?  The public officials of North Carolina have a lot of explaining to do in this case.

Omar Armando Loera, an alleged illegal alien from Mexico with a long criminal history in the U.S. has been charged with the brutal July, 2010 stabbing murder of 34-year-old Chere Osmanhodzic.

Police believe that Loera, who was reportedly out of prison on parole at the time of the murder, stabbed Ms. Osmanhodzic to death and then tried to cover up his crime by setting her body on fire.  Prosecutors say they have DNA evidence linking Loera to the murder.  Osmanhodzic was engaged to be married to her fiancé, Adam Culvey.

Prior to Osmandhodzic's murder, Loera was out on parole for armed robbery.  Lorea has reportedly been previously deported twice from the U.S..

Update: 3-20-13 Maslamani was convicted of Matt Landry's murder but the mandatory life sentence without parole was overturned by an Appeals Court because Maslamani was a minor at the time of the crime. Maslamani to be resentenced.

Ihab Maslamani, an alleged illegal alien claiming to be from Liberia, is now on trial  for the August,2009 murder of 21-year-old pizza delivery driver Matt Landry.  The trial began in September, 2010.

Maslamani is alleged to have shot Landry to death and also faces prosecution for armed bank robbery and car jacking.

Lorenzo Garcia Ceja, 18, an alleged illegal alien from Mexico, was recently arrested in Mexico for the death of Salem, Oregon resident Montez Baily, 21.

Police believe that Ceja, a reported gang member and parolee, shot Montez Bailey and two others while they were sitting on a park bench on May 26, 2009.  After the shootings, it is believed that Ceja fled to Mexico.  Ceja's remaining family in the U.S. reportedly would not help with the law enforcement investigation.

Ceja's brother, Manuel Salvador Garcia Ceja, was arrested too for an alleged 2006 stabbing in the U.S.

The man convicted in the deadly Bristow, Va., accident that killed a nun was sentenced Friday to 20 years in prison.

Police said Carlos Martinelly-Montano, in the United States illegally, was drunk when he slammed his car into another car in 2010.  The crash killed Sister Denise Mosier and injured two other nuns.  He was convicted of felony murder in October.

2-3-12 Update:  Carlos Martinelly-Montano was convicted and sentenced to 20 years in prison for the 2010 death of Sister Denise Mosier.  Mosier died  and two other nun were injured in a 2010 car crash in Bristow, Virginia.   The initial story continues below:

Carlos Montano, an illegal alien living in Prince William County, Virginia, was arrested last week  for allegedly killing  Sister Denise Mosier on Sunday morning.

Montano,  who has had several prior DUI arrests, is accused of driving drunk and crashing into a car in which Sister Mosier, a Catholic nun, was a passenger.  Two other nuns reportedly were critically injured too.

It has been reported that  Montano was arrested by ICE in 2008 but  the court allowed him to be released on his own recognizance while awaiting his deportation hearing.

Montano  has been charged with manslaughter.

OJJPAC note:  (I'm repeating myself again...but it's the same story over and over!) It is outrageous that Carlos Montano was never timely deported after his earlier arrests.  Now a Catholic nun is dead, and everyone in law enforcement and the courts who failed to have Montano deported  have this nun's blood on their hands.  Unfortunately this injustice is typical because too many politicians are more concerned with getting Latino votes than protecting the rights of American citizens and U.S. sovereignty.

Juan Quintero, 25,  an illegal alien from Mexico living in Newark, Delaware, has been charged with vehicular homicide, DUI, and driving without a license in the death of Zachary Yates of Middletown in Bear, Delaware.

Yates was killed after Quintero's car hit a school bus and then flipped over onto Yates vehicle.  Yates was transported to Christiana Hospital where he later died from his injuries.  A number of children who were passengers on the school bus also were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Quintero's bail has been set at $100,000.

Police believe that an illegal alien was responsible for the murder of Arizona rancher Robert Krentz, 58.   Krentz, a well liked cattle rancher on the Mexican-U.S. border was murdered recently while working on his family's sprawling 34,000 acre ranch.   Reportedly Krentz's last radio transmission indicated that he had encountered an illegal alien.

After Krentz failed to return home, police sent out a search team and found Krentz's body.  Krentz's dog was found shot too.

Police used dogs to track the killer--whose trail led back into Mexico.

Ranchers in the area say they see illegal aliens crossing their land daily and dispute President Obama and Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano's assertions that the U.S. border is secure.

Javier I. Correa, 29 an illegal alien with a history of crimes in the U.S.  (including assault and DWI) dating back to 1999, was  arrested last March for allegedly killing 13-year-old Kendrick Owens on March 6, 2010.

Correa  is accused of driving drunk on March 6th and running over Kendrick Owens, a seventh-grader about one week before he was to appear before an immigration judge on another charge.  Witnesses allege that after Correa struck the young boy with his vehicle, he callously fled the scene, leaving  the child to die.

Correa has been charged with multiple felonies, including intoxication manslaughter and failure to render aid.

OJJPAC note:   It is outrageous that Javier I. Correa was never removed by ICE after each of his previous arrests and convictions.  Now a young boy is dead, and everyone in law enforcement and the courts who failed to have him deported after he completed his sentences  have this child's blood on their hands.  Unfortunately this injustice is typical because too many politicians are more concerned with getting Latino votes than protecting the rights of American citizens and U.S. sovereignty.

Manuel Salvador Zamora Diaz,  a suspected illegal alien living in Raleigh, North Carolina, has confessed to the murder of 48-year-old Jurgen Dietmar Cheston, of Kinston.

Cheston was employed as a grant writer for the Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention in North Carolina.

The Department of Homeland Security has an immigration hold on Diaz because authorities believe Diaz is in the U.S. illegally.  Diaz is currently jailed at the Wake County jail.

[OJJPAC note:  I suspect that Diaz has a previous criminal history and was being shielded from deportation by the Department of Juvenile Justice.  Someone in North Carolina needs to research the circumstances of this murder and if a de facto or official sanctuary policy was in part to blame.]

Leticia Flores,  a suspected illegal alien was arrested last week in the death of Darness Brown, 10, and the injury of her thirteen-year-old sister Darneisha Ellis.

Flores is accused of running the children down in the SUV she was driving.  Witnesses allege that after Flores hit the children, she stopped to yell at the children for being in the street and then drove away [typical behavior of illegal aliens].  Flores was arrested by police when she stopped at a convenience store.  It was reported that Flores does not have a drivers license.  Bond was set at $1,000,000.

Roberto Torres,  an illegal alien living in Tulsa Oklahoma, has been arrested and faces charges that include negligent homicide, leaving the scene of an accident, driving without insurance, and running a stop sign, causing the death of Beverly Duffield, 74.  Duffield was riding her bicycle when she was killed.   After Torres allegedly ran the senior citizen down with his vehicle, he cowardly left the scene of the accident without having  the decency to stop to render aid or call 911.

Torres was only caught after police were able to obtain  video of the accident.  Police also found out that Torres was not only living illegally in the U.S. but working illegally as an insulation installer at Sinclair Refinery.  So much for security at U.S. refineries.

The local District Attorney believes that if Torres is found guilty, he will spend a few years in prison and then face deportation.  (OJJPAC note:  Too little too late.)

Rafael Cardenas Camacho,  an illegal alien believed to be from Matamous Mexico is wanted in the August 18, 2009  hit-and-run death of Sandra Zarafontis, 59.

Witnesses to the accident accused Camacho of running Zarafontis over and then driving off erratically, leaving the victim without rendering and aid or calling 911. The witness to the crime called 911.

Police believe Camacho may have returned to Mexico to avoid capture.
